Twitter Is Dead. Google Buzz Is Going to Kill It.

By

Starting this week, allĀ 176 million GMail users will see this:

Launch of Google Buzz
Launch of Google Buzz

5 Reasons Why Google Buzz Will Kill Twitter

1. Spam Control - There is way too much spam on Twitter. Before I even made my first tweet, I was immediately followed by porn spammers. GMail does an incredible job of eliminating spam so I imagine Google Buzz will be no different.

2. Convenience - It's easier to use one service. Why not multi-task by checking email and buzz at the same time? Twitter will slowly become redundant.

3. Real Friends - My Google Buzz followers are people I know in real life or have personal email correspondence with. On Twitter, you are either famous or a fan. There is a huge wall between tweeters and followers. It's not social networking when Twitter accounts are being advertised on TV.

4. Statistics - Twitter is a room full of loud people where everyone is yelling but nobody is listening. I have no clue how many people read my tweets, and neither does Twitter apparently. Google already has elaborate web statistics software known as Google Analytics. It's already been integrated with Google Adsense and even Hub Pages. Google Buzz will surely follow.

5. Archives - Something I love about GMail is that I have a record of every email I have sent or received since 2006. It's come in handy so many times when I needed to look up information from the past. Google Adsense is the same way; I can look up my earnings going all the way back to 2003. Twitter actually deletes tweets after 20 days. Considering the content on Twitter, maybe this is a good thing.

Interesting. Yes I had the email in my gmail this evening. Thing is that I have never really got on top of buzz. Now I will have to. Thanks.

You are absolutely right! I am using gBUZZ right now. I always hated tweeter. You can share your stuff, all right, but as you wrote, there is too much spam and it takes a long way to go through it to find things you are really interested in. I use gmail for quite some time. It had a quality of exclusivity for a while, but it is getting more popular. The spam filter is excellent and the features brilliant. gBuzz will not only bring everything under one roof, but it allows you to chose your network carefully - something you have no control of on other sharing pages. Those who are already using iGoogle will be amazed!

Good work babyching.

Yes that's right, i think also that twitter is not so good for me when i tried it. But when time comes to try buzz i liked it various features like you mentioned here. I think buzz will grab big marketing shares from twitter.

absolutely this statement is wrong..why because Google is 100% Flop to take buzz into success path....for covering that drawback Google plays this type of articles..ofcourse spam is every where in social networking.....

universal truth is, Google Failed in competition with Facebook & twitter...
